Construction law governs agreements under which a principal employs a construction team to design, build and construct buildings. The construction team may comprise architects, civil engineers, structural surveyors, quality surveyors, engineers, builders and technicians. Members of the construction team may be required to give collateral warranties in relation to their work, the benefit of which can be passed to future owners of the constructed building.
