Chile is a South American country with over 16.5 million inhabitants and it is known for having one of the most open, active and stable free market economies reaching an annual economic growth near 6.0%.
It's macroeconomic structure, labour and tax policy, human resources, technological infrastructure, autonomous Central Bank and low risk level makes it a very attractive destination for foreign investors who have chosen this country as their business platform for Latin America.
It's internal per capita income is around US$15.000 (adjusted by purchase parity), has low inflation (3.3%) and a discreet unemployment rate (around 7%).
It's main means are natural resources, where mining is paramount - especially copper- and also fishing and agriculture. A varied service industry has been developed, also international commerce, retail and - because of its exceptional geography- an attractive tourism industry that develops between the Atacama Desert on the North to Patagonia in the far South.
Being a democratic republic, Chile has great social and political stability that allows continual development and growth for its people and ventures.
