After having practised Law separately for six years, in Lisbon and in Cascais, Paulo Cruz Almeida and Augusto de Albuquerque de Athayde opened their own Law Firm in February 1997; The Firm’s practice is mainly directed to Civil, Business and Labour Law; Consultancy is also provided regarding Foreign Investment, as well as concerning the incorporation, merger and winding up of companies.


Besides the above mentioned areas of law, members also collaborate with experts, non members of the firm, regarding other disciplines namely Banking Law, Administrative Law, Tax and Real Estate Law.


In July 2001, the two Partners decided to incorporate Almeida & Athayde Sociedade de Advogados, a Law Firm based in Lisbon.
